Post Yoga Green Drink

Chia seeds are a great source of protein and fiber in smoothies

I’ve been doing a five week yoga challenge which basically means I have to make it to yoga at least three times a week which is approximately 4.5 hours of sweating and a lot of laundry.  I was really dehydrated after my last yoga class because I had gone on a two hour run beforehand – getting ready for my first 100 miler next year is no easy process!

So in lieu of a big, hot dinner I decided to have an ice cold green drink made with chia seeds, frozen grapes, kale, banana and a little agave.

Green Drink:

  • 4 kale leaves
  • 1 handful frozen grapes (approx 1.5 cups)
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1.5 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1.5 cups water

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  Drink and enjoy!

you’re welcome! Frozen grapes are great in smoothies because then you don’t have to water it down with ice. They are also great on their own and make the perfect post yoga or workout snack. Sooo refreshing!
